Could you imagine a porn star Congresswoman?  Well there is a website that is urging Stormy Daniels to run for a Senate seat in her home state of Louisiana in 2010.  The website is draftstormy.com.  There is a petition that you can sign to join with others to encourage Stormy to run.

Stormy is a very well spoken and bright woman, especially for a porn star.  Is it possible for an adult entertainer to have a successful political career?  Other mainstream entertainers have run successful campaigns; is it only a matter of time before a porn star does?  Who would have ever thought they would hear things like “Governor Schwarzenegger” or “Senator Al Franken” 10 years ago?  Considering we just elected our first African-American president who’s middle name happens to be Hussein, I suppose anything is possible.

Janine Lindemulder headed to prison, giving up custody of daughter

Janine Lindemulder was sentenced to 6 months in prison in December for failing to pay back taxes owed to the IRS. A judge has also ordered that she spend an additional 6 months in a residential community corrections center upon her release and to re-pay close to $300,000.00 owed to the federal government.

Lindemulder must report to prison to start serving her sentence by March.  She plead guilty last August to the tax evasion charges.  Janine reportedly had just recently put a down payment on a $650,000 house and purchased two vehicles despite her debt.

Meanwhile, Lindemulder’s ex-husband Jessie James has been granted full custody of the couple’s 5 year old daughter Sunny.  Lindemulder and James divorced in 2004.  James is the founder of West Coast Choppers and is currently married to actress Sandra Bullock.  There are reports that Sandra and Sunny are very close, and Lindemulder is worried that while she is in prison James will seek permanent full custody of the girl.

Former Ms. USA Kelli McCarty turns porn star

Kelli McCarty was crowned Ms. USA 1991 entering the contest after winning Ms. Kansas.  Following her beauty pageant days, Kelli worked as an actress.  She appeared in Silk Stalkings, Beverley Hills 90210, Melrose Place and more recently on the NBC soap opera series Passions.

McCarty has done some softcore work but yesterday she appeared on The Howard Stern Show to promote her lastest film which will be released next month and is a hardcore Vivid production.  The film is called Faithless: From Beauty Queen to Porn Queen and will be directed by acclaimed adult film director Paul Thomas.  McCarty also worked as an executive producer on the film.
