Savannah was born Shannon Michelle Wilsey Longoria in 1970. She started appearing in adult films in 1990 at the age of 20. It seemed like the 90’s would belong to Savannah at least in the porn world. She was a fast rising star and appeared in high profile roles. Her rise to stardom gained the attention of Vivid pictures which signed Savannah to an exclusive contract. Off screen Savannah had several relationships with mainstream celebrities, mostly musicians. Her flings included Axle Rose, Billy Idol, Vince Neil, Slash, Pauly Shore and Gregg Allman. Savannah also had a long term relationship with porn veteran Jeanna Fine. Most of her relationships ended with Savannah heartbroken because the celebrities never wanted anything more than to get laid and Savannah was looking for long term commitment. She also had problems in the porn industry. Savannah developed and reputation of being difficult to work with and very self-centered. She also had severe financial troubles due to wild spending habits and an ever increasing involvement with alcohol and drugs. In 1992, Vivid fired Savannah because of the problems that she caused on porn sets while under contract. After her split from Vivid, Savannah was forced to take more hardcore roles for less money and was in a sense considered “damaged goods” in the porn industry.

In July of 1994, Savannah and a male friend were returning home from a night of partying when she crashed her Corvette into a fence. Savannah suffered severe facial lacerations and a broken nose. Upon returning home, she phoned a friend seeking help. When her friend arrived she found Savannah in a pool of blood with a self inflicted gunshot wound from a 9mm handgun. Savannah later died at a hospital in Burbank, California. It was later theorized that Savannah most likely took her own life after realizing that the injuries she had just sustained would likely end her porn career. Given her financial problems and failed romantic involvements, Savannah obviously felt that her looks were all that she had left, and with those gone Savannah took her own life . She was 23 years old at the time of her death.

Where is Candy Barr? Dead from Pneumonia at 70

The infamous stripper, burlesque dancer and pornographic actress Candy Barr passed away on December 30, 2005 at the age of 70.

Candy Barr was born Juanita Slusher in the small town of Edna Texas. Her early years were traumatized by the sexual abuse at the hands of her neighbor who was also her babysitter. At the age of 13, Barr ran away from home to Dallas Texas where she landed in a brothel and was virtually a slave.

In 1951, at the age of 16, she appeared in a short underground blue movie called Smart Alec. She claims she was drugged and forced to perform in the pornographic film. Despite being an underground film, it was wildly circulated and many consider Barr to be the first porn star because of it.

In 1953 she married Troy Phillips and had a daughter in 1954. The marriage was actually her second, her first coming at the age of 14. In 1956 Barr shot her husband Phillips who was known to be violent. Phillips was not fatally wounded although Barr was charged with assault with a deadly weapon. The charges were later dropped.

While stripping at the Largo Club in L.A. Barr met gangster Mickey Cohen and the two dated. In October of 1957, Barr’s home was raided and the police confiscated close to an ounce of marijuana. She was charged with drug possession and Cohen helped to bail her her out of jail. Cohen also helped Barr go into hiding and set her up in Mexico for a short while in an attempt to avoid sentence.

She was also a know acquaintance of club owner Jack Ruby who murdered Lee Harvey Oswald immediately following the Kennedy assassination. Barr was questioned by the FBI 12 hours after Ruby murdered Oswald.

Barr was arrested and charged with marijuana possession again in 1968 though the charges were later dropped. Barr eventually retired from stripping and settled in Brownwood Texas.

In 1976 at the age of 41 Barr re-appeared in a Oui Magazine pictorial older and out-of-shape. Barr later moved back to her home town of Edna where she lived out her remaining years in quiet retirement mostly wanting to forget her past.

Where is Julie Robbins? Dead from a Grisly Car Accident

Julie Robbins, born Brandy Koontz, was a porn actress and feature dancer. She made over 40 films between 2003 and 2005. In September of 2005 Robbins died in a car accident after her vehicle struck a telephone pole. The vehicle burst into flames upon impact. Several witnesses tried to rescue Julie from the vehicle but the heat from the flames was too intense. Julie was finally pulled from the vehicle after the flames died down and was still alive but had burns over 95% of her body. The accident occurred at 2:15 pm; Julie was airlifted to Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she later died at 11:00 pm surrounded by her friends and family. It is suspected that Julie fell asleep at the wheel. She is survived by one daughter who was born in 1998. Julie was 26 years old.

Where is JR Carrington? Working in a brothel in Nevada?

According to several accounts JR Carrington, 39, has been a regular at several legal brothels in Nevada since leaving the porn industry in 1999. Her latest stint has been at the Wild Horse brothel in Reno. Carrington also has spent time escorting and feature dancing according to sources.

Where is Jeanna Fine? Living in Hawaii with Her Son

Jeanna Fine started her porn career as a blond punk chick in 1986. She retired in 1989 only to return to adult films in the 90’s better looking than ever. Jeanna at one time also dated fallen porn actress Savannah who committed suicide in July 1994.

Linda Wong was one of the first Asian porn stars. Linda was born in Hawaii and raised in San Francisco. Before entering the adult film business Linda worked as a legal prostitute in Las Vegas. Linda first appeared in porn flicks in 1976. She appeared in films with some of the biggest names in the business including John Holmes and Joey Silvera. She retired in 1981 and returned 4 years later. In 1987 Linda died of a drug overdose. Her body was found in the bathroom of a restaurant the same day that she was released from the hospital after being found unconscious face down in her hotel room. Linda was also out of jail on bond having been arrested in the months prior to her death for trying to fill a phony prescription for codeine. Linda had battled heroine addiction in the past but according to her husband she was not using it at the time of her death. Linda died from a mixture of Xanax, Chloral hydrate, and alcohol. Chloral hydrate, known on the street as a “mickey,” is a Quaalude like drug. Accrording to an interview with Linda’s husband after her death she was taking Chloral hydrate “by the handful.” He went on to say that Linda was a major drug addict that took more drugs than anyone he had ever known. Linda was 36 at the time of her death.

Where is Linda Lovelace? Dead from a Car Accident

The legendary 70’s porn star turned anti-pornography advocate Linda Boreman, better known as Linda Lovelace died in a car accident in April of 2002. Linda was made famous by her appearance in Deep Throat in 1972. The film is credited for starting the brief porn chic of the 70’s. Linda maintains that she never received a penny for her performance in Deep Throat claiming that a measly $1,250 was paid to her first husband, who also forced her to perform in the movie by holding a gun to her head. By Linda’s account her life with her first husband quickly spiraled into a life of drugs, prostitution and violence. They divorced in 1973. After her porn career Linda spoke out against the porn industry often at the side of important figures of the feminist movement. Despite her apparent distaste for porn Linda did pose for a pictorial in the magazine Leg Show in 2001 which she said did not really qualify as porn because “it was done tastefully.” Hustler magazine promptly named Linda “Asshole of the Month.”

In 2002 at the age of 53 Linda lost control of her vehicle which rolled over twice and she was later taken off life support at a Denver, Colorado hospital. Linda is survived by her second husband and 2 adult children.

Where is Marc Wallice? HIV positive … Behind the Camera

Marc Wallice, the veteran porn star who began making adult movies in 1982 at the age of 22, was tested positive in 1998 for HIV. The diagnosis effectively ended Marc’s career as an actor. There was speculation that Marc faked some of his tests so that he could continue to work as an actor. Marc was known to use intravenous drugs and also had appeared in a gay film in the 80’s. It is believed that Marc infected several porn actresses including Brooke Ashley, Tricia Devereaux, Caroline and Kimberly Jade. Marc , now 48, has reportedly returned to the industry as a director.

Where is Jim Mitchell? Dead… From a Sudden Heart Attack

The second half of the legendary porn siblings known as the Mitchell Brothers passed away in July, 2007 at the age of 63 of an apparent heart attack. Jim was buried next to his brother Artie in Antioch California.

Jim and Artie Mitchell otherwise knows as The Mitchell brothers, gained fame in the 70’s by opening the O’Farrell theater in San Francisco and producing porn flicks in the makeshift studio above the theater. The brothers were at the center of the fashionable mainstream porn craze of the 70’s and produced many classic films such as Sodom and Gomorrah, Resurrection of Eve and their most famous movie Behind the Green Door. Behind the Green Door starred the former Ivory Snow girl turned porn star Marilyn Chambers. Their success in the 70’s lead to cocaine and alcohol abuse by both of the brothers, particularly Artie.

Jim dominated the relationship between the two and was considered the real talent of the group. The two often argued and Artie was known to have an explosive temper fueled by alcohol, cocaine and jealousy of his brother.

In 1991 after a heated confrontation, Jim drove to Artie’s house and shot his brother dead. Jim was charged with murder but was later convicted of the lesser charge of manslaughter and received a 6 year prison sentence. The lesser conviction came as the jury heard testimony about Artie’s violent temper and the actions that lead up to the shooting.

The duo’s story was recently made into a movie Rated X starring brothers Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez. Estevez also directed the picture.
